This render is done in Poser 7, with tons of touch-ups in Photoshop. This is what I'd like to do with rendering software only. I'd love to go into great detail with each character and what earrings, watches, full on texture maps, and so on. Even putting two characters of this detail with no background was enough to make Poser 7 puke and burn. So what I did was render the background all by itself. Then keeping the lights in exactly the same place I brought each character into the terminal setting, and placed them where I wanted them. Then I deleted the whole background and rendered each character by themselves. Since "goth" makeup isn't standard on all the characters, I took the texture mats and modified each one by hand to give the characters some sort of goth or punk look. Knowing in advance there were going to be hundreds of items, if I did all the clothes, jewelry, expressions, poses and from freebie sources. So I used only commercial props, clothes, and characters from DAZ Studio, Content Paradise, and Renderosity. Kudo's go out to Stonemason who made the background, and even though it is a commercial item and I don't have to give credit, his work is so awesome it still deserves recognition.
