The primary image was rendered in Poser 6 with the Victoria 3 base character and the Pia morph by Lisbeth N.   The hair is the Izetta Hair by Adorana and the night gown is a dynamic cloth item by Carib98. The jewelry for the woman is by Cakeone. The chair she is sitting on, that you can't see is by sirkrite. The sketch pad, the bedroom and the primary computer is by Gerald Day. The man laying on the bed is the standard James character from Poser 6. The computer desk is by Microbion. The chess board, which was a free item from 3D cafe, was imported as a 3ds file. The monitors on the wall were cut up from an iMac 3Ds file downloaded from 3D kingdom. The lighting coming from the monitor was added in Photoshop after the render.
